A Radio Society of Great Britain affiliated club

On behalf of the club, I wish to advise our members that we will with immediate effect stop holding club meetings until at least September, when we will review the Covid situation. This has come about due to number of covid cases which seem to have increased since the lockdown was lifted.  I know the aim of the government is to promote herd immunity however I feel it increases the risk to our members who have other health issues. Today I found out that the Sue Ryder store in Eye is shut as all the staff have been told to isolate. Usually Tracey and I go there several times a week to do PAT testing. However for the past week we have not been able to attend due to other commitments and looks like we may have escaped the covid risk. (we will be self testing just-in-case) by the skin of our teeth.

Also we only had 7 people at the last two meetings, and would need double that amount to make the hire of the hall viable. Before we resume meetings I will be seeking information from you regarding the viability of attending future meetings.

Due to Ofcom relaxing the SES criteria PADARC will be able to do some SES.  Please see the events page

Keep safe and well

If you would like to join PADARC please email Alan G8XLH so that we can add you to the newsletter distribution list.

As time goes on we will review the situation and keep you informed by email and club nets.
Please support our nets on HF we are on 1980 KHz at 8pm local time on a Monday, our VHF net is on a Tuesday on 145.400 and will now be every week at 8pm local time.  We also have a 2 metre at 2pm net every afternoon
Individual members may of course arrange their own events with other friends, but remember this is not a PADARC event.
